A Novel Predictive-Collaborative-Replacement (PCR) Intelligent Caching Scheme for Multi-Access Edge Computing

Multi-Access Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is proclaimed as a key technology for reducing service processing delays in 5G networks. One of the use cases MEC content caching way bringing resources closer to end-users. Consequently, both latency and QoE are reduced. However, has limited storage space compared cloud. Therefore, there need effectively manage cache storage. This article proposes evaluates novel scheme (PCR) that combines proactive prediction, collaboration among MECs replacement algorithm MEC. Results show proposed outperforms conventional baseline algorithms LFU, LRU, MQ, FBR, LFRU. been validated with experimental results using real dataset (MovieLens20M dataset) comparison contemporary Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) based algorithm.
